Van Wert Early Childhood Center serves our youngest learners (3, 4, and 5 year olds) with all-day preschool and kindergarten where students are encouraged to create, move, sing, discuss, observe, read, and play every single day. The ECC is proud to be a 5-Star Step Up To Quality school since 2016. In addition to board-adopted curricula, all students learn in a play-based environment using Literacy Collaborative, Creative Curriculum, Heggerty Phonemic Awareness, Lucy Calkins Writing, and Big Ideas Math with the Numbers Talk framework.
